Jefferson County District Attorney Happ officially running for Attorney General

Posted: Updated:
JEFFERSON (WKOW) -- Jefferson County District Attorney Susan Happ announced Wednesday that she is officially running for Wisconsin Attorney General.

The announcement did not come as a surprise, as she filed paperwork with state election officials back in January.

Happ will face Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne and State Representative Jon Richards in the Democratic Primary. Waukesha District Attorney Brad Schimel is running unopposed in the Republican race.

Incumbent J.B. Van Hollen is not seeking re-election.
