Ice caves drawing thousands of visitors

Posted: Updated:
APOSTLE ISLANDS (WKOW) -- Visitors are traveling to the Lake Superior ice caves at a record pace.

This past Saturday was the busiest yet, with 11,000 people making the mile-long trek.

To handle the increase in tourists, other local agencies are lending a helping hand, including staff from five national parks, along with some local sheriff's offices, the U.S. Coast Guard and Border Patrol.
