COLUMBIA COUNTY (WKOW) -- A 38-year-old Beaver Dam woman has been arrested for first degree intentional homicide for a Columbia County cold case.

Friday, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office took Leah Waldhart into custody.  They say she was arrested for her involvement in the April 23, 2001 unsolved death of Curtis Wylesky.  Waldhart was Wyslesky's girlfriend.

Sheriff Dennis Richards commends and appreciates the hard work and dedicated efforts by his Detective Unit in this investigation.  It is hoped that with this arrest now begins to bring justice to the victim Curtis Wylesky’s family.

The investigation continues and it is believed there still are others in the public have more information about this homicide.  Sheriff Richards hopes those individuals will feel more comfortable coming forward with information now that Waldhart has been arrested.
