Risk of spring flooding in WI

Posted: Updated:
LA CROSSE (WKOW) -- The rough winter has many people wondering what's in store for the spring.

At this point, flooding could be a minor issue.

In its spring outlook, the National Weather Service says there is a slightly elevated risk of flooding across much of the Wisconsin, including the Black, Kickapoo and Wisconsin River basins.

But for other parts of the state, along with Minnesota and Iowa, flooding potential appears to be near normal.

The weather service says this can all change, depending on the rest of the winter and how fast our snow melts.
