Body parts found near train tracks in Chippewa Falls

CHIPPEWA FALLS (WKOW) -- Police in Chippewa Falls are investigating the area where body parts were found by a train track.

According to our affiliate, WQOW, Chippewa Falls Police Department received a call saying items near the train tracks look as if they have been dragged by the train.  The items appear to be pieces of clothing, personal items, and body parts.

Chippewa Falls Police Department are investigating the tracks to find any other information.

WQOW says that police held a conference around noon and announced they do not know the identity, but say it's a male victim.  Police believe he may have been dragged by the train.  They do not know if foul play is involved or the circumstances behind the death.
