A man and his tiger walk into a bar...

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (WKOW) -- No, this isn't a joke: A man in Chicago recently walked into a bar with a tiger cub.

57-year-old John Basile runs an animal rescue and has worked with wild animals for 25 years. He says people seemed happy to see the cub in the bar on February 15.

Police say this isn't the first time he's shown to Uncle Richie's Bar in Lockport, Il. with the tiger in tow, and its not always so well-behaved. Basile brought the wild cat to the bar in December, and a woman claims it bit her. Police are looking into possible charges.

Authorities have already filed a variety of charges against Basile, ranging from disorderly conduct to possession of a dangerous animal. So far, the charges are all misdemeanors. They say they're concerned for public safety.
