Dogs that were burned by bleach are getting better

Posted: Updated:
FOND DU LAC (WKOW) -- Two dogs that were burned with bleach are growing stronger. The puppies and a third dog were taken from a home in Fond Du Lac earlier this week.

They are in foster care, where they are getting around-the-clock treatment. The dogs are now able to eat and drink on their own.

Renee Webb works at the Fond Du Lac Human Society. She says they were found with burns and ulcers inside their mouths, throats and stomachs.

"The two of them, they still get a little bit winded very easily..they want to play and they will play and you see them laying down, resting a lot more frequently than the third one does," said Webb.

Donations are pouring into the Fond Du Lac Humane Society to pay for the puppies treatment.
