UW students approve recreation facilities plan

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Students at UW-Madison approved a $223 million plan Wednesday to revamp the campus's recreational facilities.

The project would be funded mostly on higher student fees. The UW Division of Rec Sports says the Natatorium and the Southeast Recreational Facility (SERF) do not meet the needs of students anymore.

The plan does not include a competition pool, meaning the high school state swim meets would most likely have to leave Madison.
