FOND DU LAC (WKOW) -- A bus driver was cited for a traffic violation after hitting a passenger car in Fond du Lac Friday afternoon.

According to the Fond du Lac Police Department, a car was in the right turn only lane in front of a city bus on N. Pioneer Road and W. Johnson Street.  The city bus rear-ended the passenger car.

The driver of the car, who is a 45-year-old Rubicon woman, and a 17-year-old passenger on the bus were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 54-year-old bus driver from Omro says he thought the car in front of him entered W. Johnson Street.
