Spring Flower Show opens at Olbrich Botanical Gardens

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- There are sure signs of spring--and dinosaurs--at the Olbrich Botanical Gardens.

The annual Spring Flower Show opened on Saturday. This year's theme is "Dinosaurs and Daffodils". Visitors to the show can find model dinosaurs hidden throughout the flowers. The show also features a pond shaped like a dinosaur footprint.

"Everybody is so ready for spring after this winter," says event coordinator Katy Plantenberg. "This is just a little promise that spring will come, but until then, people can come here and see our little indoor spring oasis."

Olbrich visitors can also walk through the Bolz Conservatory. The area contains a number of tropical plants, as well as free-flying birds and a waterfall.

The Spring Flower Show runs daily until March 23rd. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
