Authorities identify man who fell from roller coaster

Posted: Updated:
LAKE DELTON (WKOW) -- Authorities have identified the victim of a fall from a roller coaster in Lake Delton, and said the man's condition has stabilized.

Lake Delton Police lieutenant Daniel Hardman tells 27 News the victim is 63-year-old Anthony Theisen of Fremont.

Authorities say Theisen fell 15 to 20 feet from the Opa! roller coaster at Mt. Olympus indoor theme park.

A spokesperson for the state Department of Safety and Professional Services says DSPS is investigating the Mar. 6 incident, and expects to release its findings this week.

Authorities says UW's Med Flight helicopter transported Theisen after the fall. A UW Hospital spokesperson tells 27 News she has no information available on Theisen. Hardman says Theisen may have recovered enough to have been discharged from the hospital.

Officials say the roller coaster will remain closed indefinitely.
