BOYCEVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) -- Three little pigs are alive today thanks to firefighters and emergency medical personnel in Boyceville, who rescued them and are now nursing them back to health at the fire station.

Firefighters says they responded to a barn fire north of Boyceville Sunday and saved three in a farrow of piglets by giving them oxygen. Two of them are just a couple days old, while the other is a few weeks older.

EMT Tonya Schutts told WEAU-TV the piglets have to be fed every two hours and are getting better each day. She says the pigs are finally starting to move around the fire station.

Firefighters named them by size. The older one is Big Pig. The middle one is just plain Pig and the littlest one is Runt.
