Beware of aggressive dog in Sauk County

Posted: Updated:
SAUK COUNTY (WKOW) -- The Sauk County Sheriff's office is warning residents about a potentially dangerous dog in the Dellona Township.

Police say the dog is responsible for aggressively confronting people on two different occasions in the past week in an area from Town Hall Road to the Coonbluff Road area.

The dog has been described as looking like a wolf or wolf/dog hybrid. It is large, black in color, with black eyes and pointy ears.

After inspecting its paw prints, the DNR says the animal is not a wolf, but they would like to view any photos taken of the animal.

The sheriff's department says to be aware of the animal, especially as more people and pets venture outside in the warmer weather.

If the animal is seen, contact the Sauk County Sheriff's office at 1-800-377-1195
