MADISON (WKOW) -- It's tax season, and if you haven't filed yours yet, now is a good time to learn about tax credits you may be eligible for.
Low and moderate-income workers in Wisconsin may be eligible for thousands of dollars of additional income at tax time. The federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) can bring in anywhere from a few dollars to thousands of dollars, depending on household income and size.
UW-Extension has developed a website to give residents more information about the tax credit, like information on eligibility and benefits, links to tax forms, and resources for groups interested in helping to get the word out about the tax credits.
