Wisconsin's medicaid director resigning for job in private sector

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- The State Department of Health Services announced Wednesday that the state's medicaid director, Brett Davis, is resigning next Friday.

Davis will be taking a job in the private sector.

While serving as medicaid director, Davis oversaw the implementation of Governor Scott Walker's plan that lifted a cap on the program for nearly 80-thousand people.

The former state legislator and lieutenant governor candidate was appointed to the post in January, 2011.
