MILTON (WKOW) -- A disabled dog is getting around this winter with the help of a special wheelchair with attached skis.
Kadee Mae broke a bone in her back in January. the 10-year-old border collie's hind quarters are now paralyzed.

Her owner, Shiela Lund, of Milton, tells Janesville Gazette Kadee Mae is healthy and energetic, with the exception of her inability to walk. Lund says she ordered a wheelchair so Kadee Mae could get around.

But with all the snow, the wheels were no good.

Lund says she worked with a Wisconsin couple to get donated skis and a Massachusetts company to have them shortened and attached to the wheelchair. She says Kadee Mae is now back to doing 2- to 3-mile walks each day.
