MERRILL (WKOW) -- Wausau police detectives lay out details in what they say was a "murder for hire" plan.

A Merrill woman is accused of offering $1,000 and sex in exchange for murder. Jessica Strom appeared in court on Thursday for a preliminary hearing. Strom entered a not guilty plea to conspiracy to commit first degree murder.

During the hearing, a Wausau police detective said they worked with a man they say Strom contacted to carry out the murder. That detective said Strom drew the man a map of her boyfriend's office and neighborhood.

Authorities say Strom also told the man when her boyfriend would be alone and suggested walking in his office and shooting him. According to the detective's testimony the informant asked Strom what she would do if police questioned her about the murder.

Strom remains behind bars with bond set at $250,000.
