St. Baldrick's Head-Shaving Fundraiser for childhood cancer research

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- This weekend, a number of people will say goodbye to their hair at the annual St. Baldrick's Head-Shaving Fundraiser that benefits children's cancer research.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is hosting two signature head-shaving events in the Madison area on Sunday. In total, the local events hope to raise a combined $35,000 to support the foundation’s mission to conquer childhood cancers.
You can attend either event. The first one is at The Coopers Tavern, located at 20 W. Mifflin Street,  from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The second event is at the Coliseum Bar, located at 232 E. Olin Avenue, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Two members from the City of Madison Fire Department, Chris Hubert and Jon Byrd, will join us on 27 News at 5 on Friday to talk about the event they continue to help with. They will also be joined by Jacob Martinson, who has bravely offered to get his head shaved live on WKOW.
