Students show off work for Project Lead The Way at the Capitol

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- More than 50 Wisconsin middle school and high school students filled the Capitol Rotunda on Friday.

The students, who participated in the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) engineering and technology curriculum, had the chance to tell legislators how real-world problem solving helps create skilled engineers and technology professionals.

"Education here in Wisconsin, primarily at the K-12 level, is working to try to essentially build tomorrow's workforce,"  Steve Salter, the director for Project Lead The Way, said.

Wisconsin ranks fourth in the nation for participation in this curriculum.
