JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Janesville water crews worked all afternoon Sunday to repair a main break that sent water spewing out into a city street.
Janesville police tell 27 News it was one of the largest main breaks they've seen, with water spouting up as high as a home nearby. The break left an eight foot deep crater in the road.
The water utility reports the break was called in shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of East Van Buren Street and South Parker Drive. As of late Sunday afternoon, crews were still out on scene repairing the break. The cause is still unknown at this time.
