Milwaukee woman found dead in driveway

Posted: Updated:
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- A 53-year-old Milwaukee woman found frozen in her driveway over the weekend apparently died of hypothermia, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office.

The woman, Chris Leutenegger, was found Sunday morning by her mother.  Leutenegger had apparently been drinking with a roommate Saturday night.  According to an investigative report, Leutenegger's roommate returned home around midnight, however, Leutenegger wasn't seen again until her mother found her.

The driveway was very icy with freshly fallen snow.  There was blood on the ground and on Leutenegger's face.  A neighbor though she heard Leutenegger screaming around 1:00 in the morning.  Because it wasn't uncommon for Leutenegger to be loud and belligerent after a night of drinking, the neighbor just turned up the television.
