MADISON (WKOW) -- Two teens were arrested Monday afternoon after stealing headphones from a 17-year old and then beating him up as he tried to get his headphones back.

Police say the theft took place at the East Transfer Point on 102 W. Corporate Drive.

They say one suspect ripped the headphones from the victim's ears, and then both teens tried to run away, but the victim caught up to them and asked for his headphones back.

They refused to return the headphones and attacked the victim, punching him in the head and body multiple times.

The 17-year old victim, who did not know the suspects was treated at a hospital for head injuries, and possible bruised or broken ribs.

Responding officers found the suspects walking with other teens on Schenk Street. They tried to run away but were caught a short time later.

The 13 and 14-year old suspects were both arrested for theft from a person, battery, and disorderly conduct.
