Hank the "Ballpark Pup" makes first appearance at Miller Park

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Hank the ball-park pup made his first official appearance at Miller Park Tuesday.

The stray quickly earned a big spot in the hearts of Brewer's players and fans when he wandered up during spring training in Arizona.
Tuesday morning, he helped unveil Hank-themed merchandise which went on sale. 20% of the proceeds will go to the Wisconsin Humane Society.      

Natalie Horwath is a Brewer's fan who waiting in line at 7 a.m. Tuesday morning to meet Hank, she says, "You see the love in these players eyes, it probably makes camp that much more fun for them."

While the Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger calls Hanks story one of hope and redemption.

Schlesinger says, "Here comes this stray dog just wandering in the fields of West Phoenix, minding his own business, but looking for a friend."

The Brewers also asked fans to bring dog toys to Tuesday mornings event, which will be given to area animal shelters.
