Sheriffs announce online leadership training

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Two local sheriffs are excited about the launch of a new program.

Tuesday, Rock County Sheriff Rick Spoden and Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney announced the creation of an online leadership training program.

Any member of their offices can receive the training.

Both men say any of their employees may have to be a leader during an emergency.

Mahoney says, "The leadership development program is a program that compliments many of the nationally recognized leading executive leadership schools, such as the FBI National Academy."

The program includes 40 hours of training in things like ethics, conflict management and cultural sensitivity.
