Driver reflects on near disaster

Posted: Updated:
IOWA CITY (WKOW) -- The driver involved in a near-disaster says he knows what a miracle feels like.

Friday, on I-80 in Iowa City, his truck went flying across the interstate, clipped a patrol car and nearly hit two officers.

45-year-old Dana Miller was behind the wheel of the truck.

He says he's happy everyone survived and he's very surprised it happened.

"It all happened so fast. I didn't know what was happening until I was in the ditch. When I saw the video, it did not look like me. I thought, 'Who in the heck survived that?' I thought it was odd."

Authorities say a semi hit Miller's vehicle from behind and pushed it across both lanes of the interstate.

The officers on scene were not hurt.
