MADISON (WKOW) -- Although Wisconsin dominated its U.S. competitor with 33 gold medals, state cheese makers did not take top honors Wednesday night at the 2014 World Championship Cheese Contest in Madison.
Swiss cheese maker Gerard Sinnesberger took top honor for his big wheel swiss cheese. His cheese scored a 97.85 out of 100.
Competitors from 22 countries competed in the competition hosted by the Wisconsin Cheese makers Association.
