Sauk Prairie Middle School students to hold Awareness and Action Fair

Posted: Updated:
SAUK CITY (WKOW) -- Students at Sauk Prairie Middle School have been working hard this past month to do their part in the community, and on Wednesday you can see all of their work on display at the "Awareness and Action Fair."

Eighth grade students were given a school project to research, write, make tri-fold posters, and prepare speeches about a local issue that matters to them in an attempt to persuade people to support their cause. Students were also encouraged to complete a "social action" aspect to their project by actually doing something to support their issue.

The students' work will be on display at the fair on Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the school's north gym.

Travis Frey, an English teacher at Sauk Prairie Middle School, and two of his students, Sarah Hupp and Molly Pistono, joined us on 27 News at 5 on Tuesday.
