'Art of Note Gala' to raise money for Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras

MADISON (WKOW) -- A unique event coming up this weekend will raise money for the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras.

The 'Art of Note Gala' is Saturday, March 29 at CUNA Mutual from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. The evening will feature performances by the Percussion Ensemble, WYSO Brass Choirs and WYSO's string orchestra, Sinfonietta! 27 Storm Track Chief Meteorologist Bob Lindmeier will emcee the event, which is sponsored by WKOW 27.

There is also a live auction where people can bid on hand-painted Art of Note violins and a silent auction with more than 100 items, including dining, golf, concerts, Badger sporting events, art and jewelry.

Tickets are $100 before the event and $110 the day of the event. You can call (608) 263-3320 to buy tickets. Donations support orchestral training and performance opportunities, scholarships and other operational expenses.
