WI Dairy News: Fun on the farm in downtown Eau Claire
EAU CLAIRE (WKOW) -- There's a new attraction in downtown Eau Claire and it has parents and children eager to see it. It's been about two years in the making, but the new dairy farm exhibit at the Children's Museum of Eau Claire is finally open.
While many families are several generations removed from the farm, the Wisconsin Dairy Council and Dairy Promotions Board of Eau Claire wanted to make learning about farm life enjoyable and educational.
"To grasp the concept about how important farming is to the industry," Rita Houser of the Wisconsin Dairy Council says. "Where our food comes from, that's what we try to educate the kids."
So far the exhibit had been a huge success and the community is enthusiastic about the project.
