2nd suspect in violin theft pleads not guilty

Posted: Updated:
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- One of the men charged with stealing a historic violin says he's not guilty.

The plea came Wednesday from 36-year-old Universal Allah.

Authorities say Allah and Salah Salahadyn robbed a concertmaster of the instrument in Milwaukee two months ago. Both men are charged with felony robbery. The criminal complaint says Allah provided the stun gun used in the attack. The complaint says Salahadyn had been plotting to steal the instrument.

Salahadyn pleaded not guilty last month.

Police recovered the 300-year-old Stradivarius violin in good condition.
