Drunk driver crashes into home

Posted: Updated:
EDGERTON (WKOW) -- Police say a drunk driver crashed into a home on Stoughton Road early Thursday morning.

According to Edgerton police, a homeowner called authorities around 1 a.m. after a vehicle hit their house in the 200 block of Stoughton Road. An unresponsive female was found trapped inside the car and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

After an investigation, police determined the vehicle was traveling west on W. Rollin Street when the driver failed to negotiate the curve at Stoughton Road, striking the house.

The house and vehicle were damaged extensively. Police say alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash.
