COLUMBUS (WKOW) -- A 24-year-old Bandon, Oregon man was arrested Thursday for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office, along with the Columbus Police Department, teamed up for a joint drug investigation. The arrest comes as a result of a cooperative effort and investigation with U.S. Border Patrol Agents trying to halt the transport of high grade marijuana into our area.
As Dustin Andes exited the Amtrak Train in Columbus, detectives questioned him. During a search of his luggage, numerous packages of high grade marijuana were found. The street value was estimated at $25,000. Andes was booked into the Columbia County Jail.
The Columbia County K-9 Unit assisted in the investigation.
