New app to figure out child's illness

Posted: Updated:
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is working on a new app that would help parents figure out what is wrong with their child if the child isn't feeling well.

Modern day house calls are just a fingertip touch away with the "Children's On Call" app.  It lists dozens of common issues and ailments that parents call doctors about.

According to our affiliate, WISN, the app will have a symptom checker that goes through all the different symptoms you have.  With that, you can see help and enter all the information.  A parent can put the child's medications and allergy information for common medications as well.

Some conditions have photos to go along with the info, just in case you don't know what a certain illness looks like.

Doctors at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin say that this app is a great way to enhance the doctor-patient relationship.
