Bald eagle babies in Pittsburgh hatching

Posted: Updated:
PITTSBURGH, PA (WKOW) -- One bald eagle baby hatched from its egg Friday.  There are still two others that have yet to hatch.

People in the Pittsburgh area left their computers where they watched the birth on webcam to travel to the nest to see it live.

The mama bird had been showing all the signs just before the first egg was spotted.  An hour after spectators noticed it, the male and female bird were in the nest.  As the male bald eagle flew away, it showed the little eaglet outside its egg.

The mother bird is continuing to stay on the other two eggs to incubate them properly over the next several days.
