Slow-no-wake restriction in place on the Rock River

Posted: Updated:
ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) -- A significant portion of the Rock River has been placed on a slow-no-wake speed restriction.

According to U.S. Geological Survey Gauges, the water level for Lake Koshkonong is 8.16 feet, while the water level in Afton is 6.79 feet.  County Ordinance requires a slow-no-wake restriction be placed on the Rock River when water levels exceed eight feet on Lake Koshkonong and 6.5 feet in Afton.

Signs will be placed along the river at all public access points between Lake Koshkonong and the Beloit Rock Town Line Road Bridge.
