Cross Plains girl shaves head for kids with cancer

Posted: Updated:
CROSS PLAINS (WKOW) -- Most females know how hard it can be to change your hair. Even haircuts can be painful because you get so attached.

That's why it's so refreshing that a 7-year-old girl from Cross Plains decided not to just cut her hair and donate it to children with cancer, but she decided to shave her entire head. Annette Sanchez heard about the St. Baldrick's Foundation from her father. She said if she didn't shave her entire head for children with cancer, she would feel bad.

So Annette asked classmates and teachers to donate to the cause, and a few weeks ago, she cut off all her long, beautiful locks. She donated the hair, along with about $130.

Annette's father, Manuel shaved his head too in show of support. Annette says she didn't even think twice. Manuel says he's extremely proud of his little girl.
