WAUSAU (WKOW) -- A Wisconsin mother is sentenced to seven months in jail after throwing her dead infant in the trash.

Daily Herald Media reports a Marathon County Judge handed down that sentenced to Zoua Yang, 33, Tuesday and also ordered three years of probation. Yang admitted she gave birth to a child while she was staying with a relative in Wausau in October. Police think the baby was stillborn.

Investigators searched the Marathon County landfill for the baby's body, but never found the remains.

Yang was charged in the case with child neglect and concealing the death of a child. Her other two children were removed from her home and now live with their father in Eau Claire.
