MADISON (WKOW) -- The time-honored tradition of cutting down the net after winning a trip to the final four has a unique connection to Madison.
The scissors Bo Ryan used after the win against Arizona was made by the Fiskars Company on Madison's east side.
They have been the official scissors provider for the NCAA tournament for the past six years.
Employees say it's exciting to be a part of the Badgers final four run this season.
Amanda Weibel, Fiskars Communications Specialist says, "We have pictures from some of the other net cutting championship games. So we could love to have a picture of Bo Ryan on the wall to add to that collection. It's just really exciting."
In honor of the final four, the company makes a special gold-colored scissors with the logo etched on it that you can't buy in stores.
The UW was given a pair to keep and display on campus so future students can experience the final four magic for many years to come.
