Snow still falling in parts of Northern Wisconsin

Posted: Updated:
MARATHON COUNTY (WKOW) -- Normally the beginning of April means Spring but parts of northwest Wisconsin are still dealing with snow.

Northwest Wisconsin and parts of Minnesota are digging out after a snowstorm dumped over a foot of snow in some areas.

While in Marathon County drivers were dealing with roads covered with ice. With the Winter coming and going so much people say it's like the first snowfall all over again.

"It's like October again where the first snow comes down, you get all the accidents and people aren't used to driving in it so I think they get out of their winter driving habits," said Nick Wirspinski of Madison.

The storm forced a number a number of school districts to close in Ashland, Douglas and Sawyer counties. Thousands of residents in the Eau Claire area were without power as well.
