Fans invited to Badger football practice

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Badger football fans gathered at Camp Randall Saturday afternoon to get a first look at next season's team.

The Wisconsin football team held an open practice to invite fans to come watch as the offense and defense ran some drills and played in a scrimmage.

The practice brought families, long-time fans, and even some former players to Camp Randall.

"It's a little weird, especially because we're used to suiting up with these guys, but it's a great experience to come back and be able to support these guys and show that once you're a Badger, you're always a Badger," says Desmond Southward, a former Badger safety.

The practice broubroughts out to cheer for another Badger team before the basketball team took to the court in the Final Four.

The annual Badgers spring game is set for next Saturday April 12 at 3 p.m.
