Madison Police officer saves woman's life

MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison Police sergeant saved a 31-year old woman after she was knocked unconscious during a fight.

The woman was not breathing, and had no pulse when MPD arrived outside a Stoughton Rd. bar early Saturday morning. The sergeant continued to perform cpr until paramedics arrived. The woman regained consciousness and was taken to a hospital.

The woman had been in an argument with a male acquaintance. Club LaMark staff asked that the woman and her boyfriend to leave. The argument continued between the three. The woman eventually was punched in the face. 

Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
