Ambulance crew helped Madison Police investigate stabbing

MADISON (WKOW) --- The Ryan Brothers Ambulance Service has issued the following statement after crew members helped in a stabbing investigation over the weekend.

"On April 6th, while returning to the station, a Ryan Brothers Ambulance Paramedic unit witnessed an incident of road rage in which an individual sustained a knife wound. We are proud that their quick thinking and training allowed them to assist both the victim and MPD. We thank MPD for their quick response, assistance and professionalism. Patrick and Erin Ryan Co-Owners of Ryan Brothers Ambulance Service."

The crew witnessed a stabbing on their way back to the station Sunday night.  They were able to identify the suspect for police and transported the victim to the hospital.

26-year-old John Howard of Verona was arrested for First Degree Reckless Endangerment,Disorderly Conduct, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and on a warrant for Heroin Possession. 

25-year-old Shyloh M. Nelson of Dodgeville was also cited for Disorderly Conduct.
