Janesville man arrested on suspicion of fourth OWI
JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- A Janesville man has been arrested on suspicion of a fourth OWI offense.
Phillip M. McGuire, 61, was stopped by police for speeding at Milton Ave. and Matheson St.
After approaching McGuire, police said he smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking. McGuire was given a field sobriety test and police believed he was impaired.
Police also tested McGuire's breath, which they said recorded a .12 blood alcohol concentration.
McGuire was arrested for OWI and is currently being held at the Rock County Jail. Wisconsin Department of Transportation records indicate McGuire has three previous OWI offenses, but none have occurred in the last five years.
