Posted: Updated:
GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- Governor Scott Walker singed a bill into law Friday that creates a new system to send alerts when an at-risk adults are missing.

The law creates a Silver Alert program that operates similar to the Amber Alert system for missing children, using the state's Crime Alert Network to quickly distribute information about missing adults, like those with Alzheimer's, who may be in danger.

Law enforcement agencies would send the information to broadcasters and others.

The bill passed the Legislature with unanimous support.
