MADISON (WKOW)-- Before the Badgers Spring game kicked off, UW held the annual kids fair, where the littlest Bucky fans got to be a Badger athlete for the day.
“It's like, really awesome,” said 10-year-old Savannah Wardell.
As season ticket holders, Savannah and her dad, Dennis, watch a lot of Badger football games. But nothing tops the kids fair, where Savannah gets to meet her Badger idols.
“ I just got autographs and pictures with both of the sets of cheerleaders,” Savannah said. “It was pretty awesome because my sister was a cheerleader and I've always liked cheerleading.”
The kids also got to take a shot at their favorite hockey players and bump and set with the volley ball team. Of course the Badger with the longest line was Bucky. And while for the kids, the most exciting part might be getting the autographs, this is a great way to get in some family time.
“It’s a great environment for the kids, it's a great event,” said Jason Komar, who brought his three kids. “It's a lot of fun, these guys like it, they've been here a couple years in a row and not a better place to play catch with your son, right here in the end zone.”
The event was free to the public.
