MADISON (WKOW) -- Boy Scouts in our area will be scouting for food this month to help families in need.
Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts will be going door-to-door in the month of April to collect food for local food pantries as part of their annual Scouting for Food campaign.
A group was busy restocking the shelves at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church's food pantry in Madison on Saturday.
"As you can see, they bring in tons and tons of food and we split it, the Good Shepherd also assists the Allied Drive Food Pantry, so whatever the Boy Scouts bring in not only serves Good Shepherd but the Allied Food Pantry as well," says Shari Hervig, with the church.
The scouts have collected more than 130-thousand pounds of food in the past two years.
