Florida woman survives bear attack

Posted: Updated:
FLORIDA (WKOW) -- A Florida woman is lucky to be alive after she was attacked by a bear in her own back yard.

Last night Terri Frana heard a suspicious noise outside. She found five bears digging through her trash.

One quickly attacked her and actually had Frana's head in its mouth and started dragging her to the woods. She eventually was able to get away to the safety of her home.

"She just kicked and screamed wiggled and punched...out of the adrenaline of it all I guess she just broke lose," said Terri's husband Frank.

Frana is recovering at home with almost forty staples in her head and arm. The incident happened 10 miles from where another woman was attacked by a bear last December.
