BOSTON, Mass. (WKOW) -- Police in Boston have evacuated the area near the Boston Marathon Finish Line while they investigate two backpacks left unattended.

Officers sent out an alert on the department's Twitter page Tuesday night. They say Boylston St. has been closed and the MBTA Green Line service was temporarily suspended.

ABC News reports there is a bomb squad on the scene.

This comes on the one year anniversary of the deadly bombings at the finish line that killed three people and injured more than 200 others. Survivors, first responders and relatives of those killed in last year's bombing were in Boston Tuesday for tributes to those who died and responded.
