Madison Parks superintendent leaving for another job

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- The man in charge of the Madison Parks division is leaving for another job.

Kevin Briski has been hired as Leisure Services Director in Melbourne, FL, halfway between Jacksonville and Miami.

In his six years as Madison Parks Superintendent, Briski is both credited with improving and modernizing the park system, and criticized for changes like replacing the four golf pros who ran the city courses as independent contractors.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports the city will begin a national search for a new parks superintendent in a few weeks.
