Badger volleyball aiming high following up NCAA runner-up finish

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) - The Badger volleyball team is back to the grind. Wisconsin is in the midst of its spring season, after coming two sets from a national championship in December. The Badgers hold early morning practices in the spring, starting at 6:30 am, while participating in four exhibition games. Expectations will be high for this group that only lost one senior from last year's National Runner-Up squad. The success of last season will certainly put a target on the Badgers backs, as they go from the hunter to the hunted in every match they participate in.

"We had a great year, but we didn't accomplish what we were wanting to," Wisconsin head coach Kelly Sheffield said. "We want to be a team that is winning championships. We've got a lot of work to do and our players know that."
